Rugby students take part in snowfest activities

Rugby conducted several Snowfest activities last week. Events included an Iditarod race, sled races, snow painting and snowman building.

This is the first year the school conducted long race Iditarod race. One person from each class rode in the sled and carried an egg (like the medicine carried

in the Iditarod). Pullers of the sled could be changed at any time. If the

egg broke, a team member would return to the start to get a new egg.

In the high school division, the winners were:

1st place …. Junior class

2nd place … Senior class

3rd place … Freshmen class

4th place … Sophomore class

In the junior high division, the winners were:

1st place … 8th grade

2nd place … 7th grade

A snowman building competition on the football field,

and short sled races.

Winners of the high school snowman building contest were:

1st place … Sophomore class

2nd place … Junior class

4th place … Senior class

Winners of the junior high snowman building contest were:

1st place … 7th grade

2nd place …8th grade

Winners of the junior high sled races were the Famous Family team

comprised of Kris Leier, Parker Collins, Colton Blay and Kaelin Schneider.

Winners of the high school sled races were Team Gryffindor comprised of

Cody Boucher, Taylor Harmel, Jacob Nelson and Dylan Yoder.

Winners of the snow painting competition were:

junior high

1st place — 7th grade

2nd place — 8th grade

high school

1st place — juniors

2nd place — seniors

3rd place — freshmen

4th place — sophomores
