FFA students place at event at UM-Crookston
The Rugby FFA chapter recently participated in the FFA Invitational at the University of Minnesota-Crookston campus. The university prepared many career development events for FFA members to compete in. Fourteen from Rugby participated in creed speaking, small animal care, meats juding, horse judging and ag sales.
In meats judging, Rugby finished second. Individually, Josh Stutrud placed second; Preston McGath placed fifth; and Leo Hoffert placed sixth.
Rugby’s small animal care team placed fourth. Jacey Shively finished eighth individually.
Rugby’s ag sales team tied for sixth. Lucas Schmaltz finished third and Monica Pritchett was 10th.
