A parade to celebrate the Fourth of July moved down Main Avenue in Rugby Sunday, July 4, delighting young and old alike. Led by the Rugby Clarence Larson Post 23 Color Guard, a line of first response vehicles blared their sirens and flashed their lights as they traveled the route. One police car had passengers who threw candy to eager children ready with grocery bags to collect the goodies. Floats and classic cars followed and more candy flew through the air. A Salute to Ag came next with a line of John Deere tractors. As always, horses and buggies signaled the parade’s end.
