Heart of America Library News
Our community has been very fortunate in that we are in an area that the Covid-19 virus has not had too many damaging effects. There are libraries in the state that have not opened their doors to the public, and we are open with very few restrictions. Let’s keep our community safe…socially distance when possible and wash your hands!
Library Bingo is at the library again during the month of October. This is for grades 1-6. Expand your reading and win some prizes! You can BINGO a total of 12 times, so stop by and get started. More about the prizes next week!
Have you checked out our North Dakota selection recently? If not, the Heart of America Library will have some of our books on display at the Fall Festival at the Prairie Village Museum today, Saturday, Sept. 26 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. We will have local biographical items as well as some German from Russian materials in the new Heart of America Germans from Russia building on the museum grounds. We are fortunate to have a good selection of materials in both of these genres. Stop out and take a look. The local Heart of America Germans from Russia group will also have kuchen for sale, while supplies last. A reminder – there is no admission charge to attend…take advantage of this opportunity to have a great day out with the family.
