Amanda Black of Rochester, Minn., and Brandon Halverson of Mankato, Minn., announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Parents of the couple are Wes and Karen Black of Rugby and Chip and Katy Halverson of Elko, Minn.

Amanda graduated from Rugby High School in 2003 and is a 2008 graduate of the University of North Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is employed by Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Brandon graduated from East View High School in Apple Valley, Minn., in 2002 and is a 2007 graduate of the University of North Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He is employed by Lowe’s in Mankato as a zone manager.

They will be married Saturday, July 25 at Sharon Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. A reception and dance will follow in the Alerus Center.
