Mike and Pauline Mitzel, Towner, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house Saturday, Oct. 17 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus in Minot and a mass at 5:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, also in Minot. Their children will host the event.

Mike and Pauline (Welk) Mitzel were married Oct. 17, 1949, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Orrin.

They have 13 children, of which two are deceased, and 19 grandchildren.

The couple requests no gifts.
