| Latest Post: Started By: Rank: Category Extra-curricular ActivitiesMy wife and I just moved to Rugby about two months ago and are finally settling in to this nice, small town. I am a very active individual and was hoping to find some great options to keep this athletic lifestyle going. I have asked around a little bit about certain things, but am always getting the same answer...people are older now are just not interested in those activities. Really? I hear about these "glory days" when Rugby had a basketball league (not just an open gym once or twice a week) and a softball league in town. Well, I know that there is no baskeball league, but is there even an open gym time anymore? Do the citizens of Rugby (young and old) really not care to get out of the house and play ball anymore? Or is just because no one has taken the initiative get organize something? Also, is the swimming pool at the high school open to anyone? If yes, what are the hours? Thank you for reading, I look forward to hearing what people have to say. Member CommentsADALREADYThere are many different things to do in Rugby, young and old. We have dart and pool leagus in the winter and sand volleyball in the summer along with the swimming pool in the summer and other activities. You can call City Hall and find out for sure where to get the hours for the open gym. And they would be able to put you in contact with the right people for the other activities that happen in town. We also have a Ice Skating Rink that has open hours and we have a Hockey Team. They can give you more information on that also. Posted 109 days ago. Post a Comment |
