Rugby actress takes home award from State One Act

Rugby High School's One Act play team traveled to Jamestown last week to compete at the State Class B One Act Play Contest.

Kate Heidlebaugh was one of ten persons who received a Superior Actor award at Jamestown High School.

The Rugby team, under the direction of Jill Roberts, took first in Region IV earlier this month, performing the play "The Trojan Women". The team comprises 11 actors and actresses: Lillian Schmidt, Lylla Grice, Zackary Grice, Heidlebaugh, Zarah Mae Keenan, Amber Selensky, Melody Johnson, Emilee Linstrom, Katelyn Duchscher, Amy Volk and Sasha Klein.

Stanley took first place out of eight teams in the finals with their performance of "Bang Bang You're Dead". Other placers were Milnor, 2nd; Thompson, 3rd; Shiloh Christian 4th; Northern Cass, 5th; Glenburn, 6th; Carrington, 7th; and Beulah, 8th.
