Week two in the 9-man football season saw Region 4 teams face each other.
- The St. John Woodchucks had their first victory over the North Prairie Cougars in 15 years last week, scoring 22 points in the third quarter for a huge 36-6 win. The Cougars got their first touchdown of both the game and the season with Grant Munro getting a 65-yard run.
The Cougars hosted the Benson County Wildcats on Friday. The Woodchucks hosted the Dunseith Dragons on Thursday.
- The Dragons are at an 0-2 start this season following a 40-16 loss at home last week to the Towner-Granville-Upham Titans. The Titans were slated to face the Drake-Anamoose Raiders on Friday in Drake. The Radiers lost by forfeit last week to the North Star Bearcats (17-0). The Bearcats traveled to Lakota on Friday to take on Nelson County.
- The Wildcats were stunned again last week in New Rockford, falling 70-16 to the Rockets.
- Due to low numbers, the Raiders have forfeited the remainder of the season. As a result, the Wildcats' homecoming game was moved up a week and their game against the Dragons will be held Sept. 7 in Maddock.
