Prairie Village Museum plans first Farm to Table Dinner

August 17, 2018
Pierce County Tribune

The Prairie Village Museum has partnered with the FARMtastic Heritage Foods Hub to host a 1st Annual Farm to Table Dinner. The dinner will be at the Museum in the Village on Saturday, August 25th at 7:00 p.m. The dinner will cost $65.00 plate and proceeds support the Prairie Village Museum. Food will be catered with love and care by Julia and Mirek Petrovic from Anamoose.

Executive Director Stephanie Steinke says, "Julia approached us with a creative idea for a new event and we immediately loved it. The Museum is devoted to the history of farming, ranching, and north central ND and what better way to augment that mission than to have a meal made from ingredients grown and nurtured right here in north central ND? These types of fancy farm to table dinners often have a price well into the hundreds of dollars, and we are happy to be able to offer a dinner of the same quality for less than half the cost." Steinke went on to say, "Julia has become known in our area as a fantastic cook and passionate foodie and clean-eater and we are so excited to partner with her this year and into the future to offer a wonderful meal with a new theme each year."

Tickets can be bought online at the Museum's Facebook page, on the Museum website, at the Museum and at the Food Hub in Anamoose. The meal will be at the Museum, rain or shine. The dress is casual as we want guests to feel comfortable, but the tables will be lined with flowers, linens, and lights. This year's theme is Mediterranean Cuisine and the multi-course meal with feature a meat dish, fresh pita bread, numerous salads, beverage, and homemade desserts. Future dinners will also be multi-course dinners with wide-ranging themes.
