June 15, 2018
Bonnie Remmick - Tribune Reporter , Pierce County Tribune

Darylanna Durkee has been named the new executive director of the Rugby Chamber of Commerce and the Convention and Visitors Bureau. She will report to the boards of both organizations. Durkee's hire date was June 4, and her offices are located in the Prairie View Museum's building at 102 Hwy 2 SE, Rugby, N.D.

"I am so excited to have this position," Durkee said, "and I think I can be of great service to the community of Rugby. The energy and positiveness of Rugby is amazing, and the downtown offers so much shopping and great lunches at Rockin Relics. I love to come to Rugby and check out the Brown Lantern and have lunch downtown."

Durkee, originally from Denver, Colorado, lives outside Willow City on a farm, came to North Dakota six years ago to visit her sister, and never left. She has been working in accounting for the past four years in Bottineau. When her friends recently told her about Rugby, she came to visit and decided to pursue a position here. She then went back to Bottineau, gave notice and within a month had a new job and a new career.
