Don was raised in the home of his parents and was the 2nd oldest of four children. He was educated in the Rosholt, SD School System. He was a man of many talents and one of those people that was never average or mediocre at anything. Most of his "first attempts" would have been products of great satisfaction for most, involving much time and effort. He was a perfectionist and took great pride in making things beautiful from laying flooring, woodwork, mechanical issues, to yardwork. Don had a big heart, loved people, always wanting to help where he could. He had a wonderful sense of humor and couldn't resist an opportunity to tease someone, always being kind with his words and had a healthy appetite for laughter.

Don was very active in his community and church, whether it be serving breakfast or lending a helping hand to the needs of the congregation and church. Not many basketball or football games started or ended without Don and Sue in the stands. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping with friends and family, and relaxing at the lake with Sue and "the boys"; their beloved dogs Boone, Bud, and Tucker.

He had a great love, respect and admiration for his family and was so proud of his sons Dennis and Scott, and their accomplishments and service to their country. His face lit up when he spoke of his children and grandchildren. He truly enjoyed his family and cherished every minute with them.

Don is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Sue; his children, Dennis (Addi Jo) and Scott (Tina) Rosenkranz; stepson, Scott (Melissa) Stutrud; grandchildren, Tianna and Maeghan Rosenkranz; sister, Faye (Tom) Erickson, Naomi Rosenkranz (friend Charles); a brother, David (Debbie) Rosenkranz; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and an aunt.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
