LETTER: Thanks, NDCA, for holding Candidate Open House

October 28, 2016
Glen Baltrusch, Harvey , Pierce County Tribune

As a District 14 Senate Candidate, I would like to take a moment to say 'THANK-YOU' to the North Dakota Community Alliance of Rugby, as well as 'THANK-YOU' to Stephanie Steinke, and the sponsors of the 'Candidate's Open House in Rugby' that was held on Saturday, October 15, 2016.

It was a great event with a unique concept, and opportunity for the Candidates seeking a variety of office's, County Commissioners; District 14 Legislative Candidates; and Candidates for Statewide Offices; to meet with you, the voters. One part of the event that I was impressed with was the presentation of the Ballot Measures with Representatives on both sides of the Ballot Measures available to explain why the voters should cast their votes either 'Yes' or 'No' at the Ballot Box.

I hope that the North Dakota Community Alliance of Rugby continues to provide such events for the public in the future. This is, and was, a great format. Actually, in all reality, these types of events should be held throughout the District as well as locally when such events are required to inform the voters of important matters that affect the lives and finances of the citizens; whether it be taxation, or what took place earlier this year - the 'Bore Hole'. I also hope that the good people of Rugby and the surrounding communities will continue to support such events and make it grow!

Anyway, 'Congratulations to the North Dakota Community Alliance of Rugby, Stephanie Steinke, and the events sponsors'! And let's not forget to say 'THANK-YOU' to the citizens and voters who attended the event! It was a pleasure to visit with you as well as the participants!

May God Bless!

Sincerely,

Glen Baltrusch (R)

Dist. 14 Senate (write-in) Candidate
