LFS Students Win Catholic Daughters Contest

Local youth participants took part in the 2014 National Catholic Daughters of America, National Education Contest with local CDA, Court Little Flower, #1193 holding a local level contest in Rugby. The themes for this year's contest were "Love Your Neighbor As Yourself" and "Be A Good Neighbor." The participants had winning entries in each of the following listed divisions. Poetry Division 1: 1st place- Katelyn Duchscher; Poetry Division 2: 1st place-Meagan Harmel, 2nd Place-Brooke Blessum, 3rd Place-Sarah Blessum; Essay Division 1: 1st place-Amber Selensky, 2nd place-Kiara Larson, and 3rd place-Zach Jaeger; Essay Division 2: 1st place-Lauren Casavant, 2nd place-Isabella McCabe, 3rd place- Brooke Blessum; Art Division 1: 1st place-Bryceton Deplazes, 2nd place-Mariann Kraft, 3rd place-Andrew Duchscher; Art Division 2: 1st place-Brooke Blessum. Computer Art Division 1: 1st place-Kiara Larson, 2nd place-Zach Jaeger, 3rd place-Amber Selensky; Computer Art Division 2: 1st place-Isabella McCabe, 2nd place-Sarah Blessum, and 3rd place-Lauren Casavant. Poetry Division 4 CDA member 1st place- Charlotte Blessum:

The first place winning entries will go on to the state level competition.
