17 Years and Counting for LFS Marathon

May 15, 2015
Joseph T. Pelt - Tribune Editor , Pierce County Tribune

The Little Flower School held their annual Marathon on this past May 1st and it was a resounding success with the monies raised eclipsing last year's figures. The PTO sponsors this event for the Little Flower Catholic Elementary School , whose mission statement is to cooperate with parents to provide our children a strong foundation, rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and in academic excellence, for a life of faith, integrity and service.

Everyone gets involved in this annual fundraiser, the largest of the year for the school, including the kids. With this years theme being "Spreading Faith Across America. " Caleb Schaan and Aiden Clements were recognized for receiving donations from Florida which was the most distant of the states that a donation was received from. There were also prizes awarded to the top 11 fundraisers, who in order were: Sarah Blessum, Alli Blessum, Zach Jaeger, Bryceton & Lacie Deplazes, Mikaylee Livedalen, Jack Swanson, Brooke Blessum, Royann Livedalen, Bria Brossart, Tambrey Brossart, and Beth Schmaltz.

The PTO wanted to thank all the children, families, teachers, staff, donors as well as the community for their support. If it wasn't for each and everyone of them and their hard work and care none of this would have been possible. If anyone wants to still make a donation to the Little Flower Catholic Elementary School for this year they can do so by contacting the school.
