The biennial Mini Fair Day was held April 24th for the third and fourth graders at Ely Elementary School. Parents, grandparents, friends, and other relatives volunteered to give a hands-on demonstration or presentation to the students.

This year's volunteers included; Randi Heisler, Rich Gross, Cheryl Jacobs, Delores Gray, Steph Brossart, Jodi Brossart, Andrea Beaver, Danielle Jacobson, Tami Mayer, Cindy Kuntz, Lyndsay Graner, Cari Oppen, Ashley Griffin, Mike and Alecia Pretzer, Gary and Jean Doran, Glen and Sadie Oppen, Carol Geiszler, Ashley Stricker and students, and Duane and Alecia Veach.

The students were allowed to participate in two different activities throughout the afternoon. The events were flint knapping, metal stamping, bird feeder construction, woodworking, science experiments, crafts, gymnastics, martial arts, rocket building, pretzel making, wood-burning, dog sledding, creating coasters, learning sign language, art journaling, and metal stamping. It was more than fun, it was an invaluable learning experience for all involved.
