RHS To Hold Fine Arts Night

April 17, 2015
Pierce County Tribune

Rugby High School will host a Fine Arts Night this year to showcase the talented students participating in music, theatre, speech, and art. After the success of last year's Fine Arts Trip, teachers and students from the high school will put on a night of entertainment again this year.

On Monday, April 27, at 7 p.m., students from various choral and instrumental ensembles, as well as members of the speech team will perform. These students will have all qualified for their respective state tournaments.

The night will serve as a free-will donation fundraiser for future Fine Arts trips. In May 2014, five RHS teachers accompanied 40 students to Minneapolis. While there, the students watched "Sister Act", "The Little Mermaid", attended a chamber orchestra concert, and visited two art galleries. The plan is to continue providing opportunities like these for students in this community.
