Elsie Eide, 93, of Harvey, ND and formerly of Rugby, ND and York, ND, passed away April 1, 2015 at the St. Aloisius Medical Center in Harvey, ND. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Leeds Lutheran Church in Leeds, ND with Pastor Michael Pretzer officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Nelson Funeral Home in Leeds, ND. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be held at the St. Petri Cemetery in York, ND following the service. Music will be provided by Rachel Markestad. Casket Bearers will be Jim Wurgler, Errol Loken, Victor Wurgler, Richard Wurgler, David Wurgler and Gary Wurgler. ??

Elsie Eide, daughter of Alfred and Anna Marie Mueller Wurgler, was born July 7, 1921 in Twin Lake Township, Benson County, ND. Elsie was raised in the home of her parents and received her education at Twin Lake School #4 and graduated from the York High School. She married Malvin Eide of York, ND on December 16, 1939 and lived on the farm south of York, ND. ??

Elsie was a member of the St. Petri Lutheran Church. She served on various church offices, choir, secretaries and presidents of many circles. She was also a 4-H leader for ten years. Elsie took great pride in her beautiful yard with all her many flowers. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and gardening; especially her flowers. ??

Survivors are son and his wife Ron and Sally Eide from San Tan Valley, AZ; daughter and her husband Jane and Curtis Brorby from York, ND. Seven Grandchildren; David (Kris) Eide, Michelle (Brian) Gibbs, Renee Hiller, Paula (Mark) Duchscherer, Celeste (Paul) Hay, Chantel Grossman and Courtney (Joey) Heilman; and fourteen Great Grandchildren, Matthew, Hannah and Emma Gibbs, Alicea and Miranda Hiller, Abigail and Rochell Grossman, Cameron and Isabelle Hay, Breanna, Carson, Garrett, Brinley and Brady Heilman; sister Marie Berg from Phoenix, AZ. ??Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Malvin; daughter and son-in-law Diane and George Bachmeier; four sisters, Hannah, Wilma, Ida and Rosie; eight brothers, Willie, Otto, Hugo, John, Edward, Alfred, Charles and Werner.
