Common sense appreciated

December 26, 2014
Pierce County Tribune

I have been kept up to date on recent community happenings via The Tribune either through the U.S. mail or online. Much of what I've read leaves me with these conflicting emotions: "should I laugh or should I cry?"

I do not know Cheryl Hager, but this woman deserves a medal for her recent Letter to the Editor, which was dripping with COMMON SENSE. She said a lot and it didn't take much print space. Cheryl should have appeared on the front page.

Lastly, I (like Cheryl), took offense at "the girls" terminology. This may have been overlooked 50-60 years ago, but it will not (and should not) be tolerated today.
