Nielsens say “Thank You”

February 14, 2014
Pierce County Tribune

You may be aware that my Mother, Wanda Nielsen has just had her hip replaced recently. During this time, because she is a resident of the Haaland Estates, they wanted to do some updating to her apartment while she was away. Hence the reason for this letter.

This letter to you is to say "Thank You" to all the very wonderful and caring people at the Haaland Estates, my Mother's friends, the men at the morning breakfast gathering who I thoroughly enjoy, Mom's Pastoral staff, her quilting buddies, etc. The help, the thoughts and prayers during these past 3 weeks has been immeasurable and will never be forgotten. As a Rugby native it is always so nice to come home any time of the year and always feel welcome. When I have asked for help doing things for my Mother or myself the help is there right away.

My Mother is now back in her updated apartment at the Haaland Estates and of course is so thankful to be home. I know she would echo these same thoughts of appreciation and thanks again for all that has been done.

As a side note, we (Bev & I) are very excited for the Panther boys basketball team having achieved a #1 ranking in North Dakota Class B basketball. It will so fun to hopefully to be in Grand Forks in all of my Panther alumni gear (basketball shorts, t-shirt, cap, etc.) to cheer them to an eventual state championship. Go Panthers!

Peace and God Bless,

Al & Bev Nielsen
