Christmas meals delivered by Food Pantry

December 27, 2013
Pierce County Tribune

The Rugby Food Pantry delivered Christmas meals to less-fortunate families in the Rugby area last week. Thirty-nine volunteers delivered baskets containing turkeys, milk, bread, fruit and vegetables - any and everything necessary for nutritious holiday meals - to over 100 families.

Volunteers ranged from individuals of varying ages to organizations like the Knights of Columbus and the Rugby Ambulance service. The number of families receiving baskets dropped from last year, which Food Pantry coordinators Phil and Vonnie Degenstein estimated to be 116.
