4-H welcomes new hunters club

December 20, 2013
Pierce County Tribune

The Pierce County 4-H program is excited to welcome a new club, The Pierce County Hunters, to the program. On Dec. 12, five parents and six youth held their first meeting at the Pierce County Courthouse. After learning about running a meeting, the youth held discussion and voted on a name for their new club. Following the meeting, the children participated in a team-building activity known as the "Human Knot." The youth formed a circle joining hands with someone across from them and then had to untangle themselves without letting go of their partners' hands.

The club plans to focus their activities around Outdoor Skills and Shooting Sports project areas. Their next meeting will be Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. at the Pierce County Courthouse.
