NDCF, Rugby EMS make donations

December 6, 2013
Pierce County Tribune

The North Dakota Community Foundation recently donated $2,500.00 to the Wheelchair Van campaign. This gift brings the total donated to the Good Samaritan Health Services Foundation by NDCF to $25,986.85 over the years.

The Rugby EMS, a service of the Heart of America Medical Center, recently donated an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to the Heart of America Library. The unit was placed in service at the library after the staff and volunteers received training in CPR and AED use by Jennifer Reed, EMS Training Coordinator. The placement of this AED is part of the Rugby EMS's overall goal to ensure that victims of sudden cardiac death receive prompt CPR, Defibrillation and 911 activation. Funding for the AED and training were provided by the North Dakota Department of Health EMS Funding Area Grant program
