Pastor's Corner

What’s The Truth?

October 4, 2013

There are many voices in the world claiming to be the way to heaven, so how does a person know who is right and which belief they should follow? We need to look at the evidence, and the truth of God's Holy Word the Bible. There is only one person who had no sin and His name is Jesus Christ. There is only one person who died for our sins as our substitute, and who rose again never to die again; His name is Jesus Christ the Son of God. There is only one person who has fulfilled Biblical prophecies made about Him with a 100% accuracy rating; that person is the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. There is no other person who has ascended into heaven and will come again as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords other than Jesus Christ. With all those credentials, Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 Notice that He didn't say He was "a" way, but "the" way. The eyewitnesses who experienced the resurrected Christ and who experienced the power of the promised Holy Spirit come upon them said, "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12

Today, Jesus Christ invites all people to believe in Him and to trust in Him as their Savior and Lord. Rev. 3:20 is Christ's invitation and He says, "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me." How do we do that? Romans 10:9 says, "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus Is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." The prophecy of Joel also says, "that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Praise God we are on the right way when we follow Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord.
