Local watercolor artist Caroline Doucette will have a rare opportunity next month.

Doucette will be showing one of her pieces at the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club's 117th Annual Juried Open Exhibit.

The exhibit runs for most of October, and Doucette will be showing a 22x29 inch watercolor painting called "Jay's Jubilation".

The CLWAC was organized to show and promote works by professional women artists.

Doucette was accepted into the juried show, which features both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional art.

Doucette is a signature member of both the New England and Pennsylvania Watercolor Societies, according to her biography.

She is a third-generation artist, who has been painting full time since 1989.

Doucette said she loves to paint flowers, which is the theme for "Jay's Jubilation".
