HAMC hires two new professionals

Ron Bendewald, Occupational Therapist began his position in the Heart of America Rehab and Wellness Center on September 3rd. He is originally from Ashley, N.D. and graduated from University of North Dakota. He has over 30 years experience in the OT field. He travels to Rugby from Spiritwood Lake and works Wednesday-Friday weekly. He will provide occupational therapy services to the local schools as well as travel to St. John and Dunseith. He is married with two grown children.

Ron Beare, CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) is originally from Watertown SD, graduated from South Dakota State University and then from NDSU with his MBA.

Ron has provided locum tenens services at HAMC (he fills in where needed) since July 2013. He is in the process of becoming a permanent employee in the surgical department. Ron joins HAMC from Sanford in Fargo where he had worked for over 30 years. He became the director of Anesthesia at the School of Anesthesia, which he helped develop into a master's program. Beare comments, "I semi retired, my skills are still good, I enjoy anesthesia, and I'm in good health." He and his wife of 44 years have 3 grown daughters and he enjoys raising show cattle with his nephews on his ranch in SD.
