re-elected

to board

Rugby native Sheri Haugen-Hoffart was re-elected to serve a second 3-year term on the Capital Electric Cooperative board of directors at the co-op's

June annual meeting. With headquarters in Bismarck, Capital Electric serves members in Burleigh and Sheridan Counties. Sheri will also continue to serve on the board of Central Power Electric Cooperative, one of Capital Electric's electric suppliers. Central Power also supplies power to North Central Electric, Northern Plains Electric, Verendrye Electric, McLean Electric, and Dakota Valley Electric. Sheri is the daughter of the late Orris M. and Marie A. Haugen, and she is married to Richard W. Hoffart.

Teigen promoted to manager

Eide Bailly LLP, a regional CPA and business advisory firm, has promoted Kevin Teigen to manager.

Teigen, CVA, specializes in providing general consulting and business valuation and litigation support to a variety of industries. He joined the firm in 2008. He has a master of business administration degree from North Dakota State University, Fargo. He and his wife, Danielle, have one son, Dominic, and reside in West Fargo.

Rugby Native Returns as Pharmacist at HAMC

Jennifer (Schiff) Melgaard began her position as Pharmacist in the HAMC Clinic Pharmacy on August 12th. She and her husband, Cody, are originally from Rugby and both graduated from RHS. Jennifer went on to graduate from NDSU in 2005 with her doctorate in pharmacy.

She and her husband have relocated from Minot with their two young children, Mari (5) and Jackson (2). Melgaard says that she is looking forward to living in a smaller community again and raising her children here.

Melgaard will be splitting her responsibilities between the clinic and hospital pharmacies. "I am eager to learn more about the facility here at HAMC, and to have the opportunity to get to know the patients I serve."

Rugby native named

to NDSU deans list

Scott Brossart, of Rugby, was listed, among 181 students, on the Summer 2013 Dean's List at North Dakota State University.

To qualify, a student must have a 3.5 GPA and must be enrolled in at least nine credits.

Brossart is majoring in Natural Resources Management.
