Hershey earns highest honors

Andrew Hershey, of Rugby, was named with highest honors to the spring semester dean's list at Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minn. The dean's list includes full-time students with a grade point average (GPA) during the semester of 3.65 (out of 4.0) or higher. Hershey is pursuing a degree in Finance and Marketing at Northwestern.

Highest honors are awarded to students with a GPA of 3.90-4.0, high honors are awarded to students with a GPA of 3.75-3.89 and honors are awarded to students with a GPA of 3.65-3.74.

Jenna Fossum earns scholarship

Jenna Fossum, of Rugby, received the Presidential Scholarship from the University of North Dakota for the 2013-2014 academic year. Fossum, daughter of Randy and Tammy Fossum, graduated from Rugby High School and plans to attend UND in the fall.

UND welcomes and supports students who aspire to excel as learners and members of our community. This scholarship program is intended to honor and reward students who contribute to enhancing UND as vibrant and connected learners.

In order to qualify for this scholarship, students must have a 3.65 GPA or above and score a 29-36 composite ACT score.
