Daae family ready for Music in the Park

July 26, 2013
Pierce County Tribune

The Daae (pronounced "Doe") family, native to Saskatchewan, Canada, and of Norwegian ancestry, are going south of the border to Rugby, North Dakota.

Comprised of Wayne, Cathy, Amanda, Crystal, Michael, Shannon, Daniel and Lauren Daae, this gospel group has been performing together since singing at the Estevan Fair in 1990. Since then, they've toured around western Canada and the northern United States, playing at churches, jamborees, community and televised events. The family has played at Music in the Park in Rugby in previous years, and will do so again on Wednesday, July 31.

The Daaes have independently released five albums and a live DVD since recording their debut album in 2003. Their most recent album is "Never Too Far".

Also that night is the second of three Lions Club picnics. Lions Club members will be serving hamburgers, picnic food, and free ice cream. In the event of inclement weather, tune in to KZZJ for more information regarding an alternate venue.
