July 19, 2013
Pierce County Tribune

Jan Repnow was awarded the Post-secondary Business Teacher of the Year Award at the annual Mountain-Plains Business Education Association conference, which was held in Omaha, Neb., June 10-12.

Repnow is a business instructor at Minot State University in Minot, North Dakota. The award is presented annually to a post-secondary business teacher who has made significant contributions to the field of business education by implementing creative and innovative ideas in the classroom, by involvement in department or school activities, and by participation in professional organizations. Nominations are made by an NBEA/MPBEA member or by the executive boards of affiliated local, state or regional associations. A panel of distinguished, anonymous judges evaluates each nomination packet to determine the award winner.

As a regional award winner, Repnow qualifies to compete for a national level award, which will be presented at the 2014 National Business Association Convention, which will be held in Los Angeles, Calif., next April.
