Lambda chapter women educators meet in Rugby

Eleven Lambda members and three guests met Nov. 20 for a potluck meal and a special program presented by Jeri Langemo from Sunnyside Elementary School in Minot.

Mrs. Langemo is an elementary music teacher and uses various sizes and types of African drums in her music classes. Lambda educators were able to participate and share in the drumming since Mrs. Langemo provided several drums.

She explained the history of drumming used in African villages. She exposes her students to African culture and music through these drums.

Devils Lake Community Band to perform in Cando

Cando Arts Council proudly presents the Devils Lake Elks Community Band in concert on Tuesday, December 11 at 7:30 p.m. in the Cando Audi Theater. A free-will offering will be taken. All are welcome to attend.

Elks Community Band in concert is supported by the North Dakota Council on Arts, which receives funding from the state legislature, National Endowment for Arts, and Cando Arts Council.

Cando Arts Council presents gospel group

Cando Arts Council proudly presents the gospel singing group Special Delivery in their annual Christmas Concert on Saturday, December 15 at 2:30 p.m. in the Cando Audi Theater. Guest violinists, Silver Strings, will also perform. A free-will offering will be taken. All are welcome to attend.
