One of the biggest acts to ever grace Music in the Park will take the stage Wednesday, July 25th at 7 p.m.

Liquid Blue, an award-winning dance and cover band will be performing. Based out of San Diego, Cali., the band's slogan is "Music to Move You."

The band has received numerous awards, including "America's Best Dance Band" at the National Music Awards, "Best Cover Band" at the San Diego Music Awards, "America's Best Independent Artist", "Entertainment Act of the Year" at this year's Biz Bash Readers Choice Awards, "Entertainer of the Year" at last year's Event Solutions Spotlight Awards, and "Pop Album of the Year" at the Los Angeles Music Awards. They have performed in hundreds of countries, have been on multiple magazine covers, and, among several accolades, they are the first American act to be signed to a major Chinese record label.

The band isn't just huge in its accolades, it also has several members, including optional sections of musicians and understudies for most of its members. Its main members include Nikki Green (vocals/keyboards), Michael "The Grovler" Vangerov (guitar/vocals), Diana Ferrer (vocals), Ellis "E-3" Hall III (keyboards/vocals), Kevin Cooper (bass/vocals), Jenny Nowinski (vocals), Butch "Wrekless" Watson (drums) and Scott Stephens (vocals). The understudies for the band, who also perform as a band called Shades of Blue, include; Merri Baehr (vocals), Aidan Spencer (guitar), Gypsy Gina (vocals), Charlie Lenud (bass) and DJ Layla Loxa (vocals). Sometimes the band performs with a three to six-member brass section comprised of Rick Rossi (tenor sax), Anne King (trumpet), Wendell Kelly (trombone), Rick Keller (saxophone), Lior Ron (trumpet), and John Roberts (trombone).

All members of Liquid Blue are multi-talented, and quite a few have received notable achievements by themselves. Green was the first American finalist in Chinese Idol. Vangerov was the guitarist for Rhythm Tribe, which in the '80s was signed to Elektra Records. Cooper is a Grammy award-winning bassist. Nowinski made it to Hollywood in Season Two of American Idol. Rossi is Grammy-winning sax player. Loxa is an award-winning surfer. Stephens formed "Raw Power Magazine", the world's first punk/metal magazine when he was 16. King, the newest member of the brass section, is a Grammy nominee. Hall is known in several music circles.

There are also many more happenings in the park on July 25. "Art in the Park", which features local artists and crafters, will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. There will also be a classic car show. And the Lions Club will be grilling hamburgers and serving food during the Picnic in the Park. They will also serve ice cream from Cass Clay Creamery.
