Creations Auction a success

February 7, 2011
Pierce County Tribune

The 2011 Creations Auction, held last week by the Good Samaritan Health Services Foundation at HAMC, was a huge success. Nearly $10,000 was raised with $7,000 in profits, reports Paul Schaan, HAMC Foundation Director. "The support from community members, local businesses and area churches for this year's Creations Auction was overwhelming. We had a great crowd with some really nice auction items and it was truly a privilege to be part of supporting Hospice with this event," says Schaan. With almost $7,000 in net profits, that makes it the most successful Creations Auction to date, with all money raised going toward the Hospice Program at Heart of America Medical Center. Supporting the future of Hospice is important, as it is a service that private, state and federal health insurers fall short in supporting. Hospice is an essential service that HAMC is proud to provide. Attendees were able to bid on a variety of items, including Sioux hockey tickets, homemade quilts and afghans, and a variety of theme baskets.
