Gladue competes basic training

Pvt. 1st Class Nicholas J. Gladue, of Dunseith, has completed Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training for the North Dakota Army National Guard.

Gladue attended Basic Combat Training for 10 weeks at Fort Jackson, S.C., graduating July 2010.He then attended Advanced Individual Training which consisted of 14 weeks of military occupational schooling at Fort Lee, Va., graduating Nov. 3, 2010.

Prior to his training, Gladue was assigned to the Recruit Training Company in Devils Lake, which prepared him for his military training by learning basic combat and Soldier tasks.Since the completion of his training, Gladue has been assigned to Detachment 1, 132nd Quartermaster Co. in Bottineau as a Water Treatment Specialist (92W).

He is the son of Vince Gladue and Robin Weston, both of Rugby.
