New baby policy includes free announcement

December 3, 2010
Pierce County Tribune

The Pierce County Tribune has instituted a new baby policy. Parents can submit photos of their new babies along with the following information: Gender of the baby, day and date of birth, what hospital in what town, weight and length of baby at birth, parents' names and town, siblings names and ages. All living grandparents' names and locations can be added. If any grandparents are deceased, first list the living grandparent, town, and then follow with 'the late' grandparent's name, no town. Be sure to get both sides of the family. Great-grandparents may be added with the same format as the grandparents. If all great-grandparents are deceased don't list any of them. Do not include aunts, uncles and cousins, even if there is only one in the family.

All of the above information will be published with a photo of the baby for free.

If parents want more information than that described above they may choose to pay for an ad.

Only parents and grandparents with the parents' permission may submit a baby photo and information.
