Drake - Benson County's 44-20 win over Tri County on Friday, September 24 gave the Wildcats hope for a chance at the playoffs. BC and North Star would each need to defeat St. John for that chance to occur, according to BC Coach Mitch Strand.

In the game a week ago Friday, a strong first half with a 30-6 lead caused three turnovers in the first half.

"Our defense played outstanding football," said Coach Mitch Strand.

"We knew that Drake had a very strong running attack so our focus was on neutralizing it," said Strand. "Our athletes did an exceptional job of executing our game plan."

In the second half, BC allowed Drake to creep back into the game but BC was able to put them away in the fourth quarter.

"Matt Knudson probably played the best game of his career," said Strand. "He was a key factor in our offensive and defensive schemes."

The Wildcats take on Four Winds on Friday, October 8 for Leeds' Homecoming game.
