Titans blank Dunseith

DUNSEITH - Towner-Granville-Upham scored 24 first quarter points and rolled to a 38-0 Region 4 9-man win over Dunseith on Sept. 3.

The Titans pulled their starting offense after the first 12 minutes.

"The younger kids got a lot of playing time,' said T-G-U coach Scott Thorson.

Travis Smette's 3-yard run staked T-G-U to an early 8-0 lead and then Levi Black returned a punt for 75 yards for a score. Zach Thompson also scored in the opening quarter on a 2-yard run.

The Titans racked up just 195 yards of total offense, but defensively bottled up the Dragons all night forcing several turnovers.

It was T-G-U's second straight shutout over the Dragons.
