Rugby Jaycees sponsor Pitch, Hit and Run contest

The Rugby Jaycees sponsored the annual Pitch, Hit and Run competition on May 8. Winners are crowned in each age division for each skills as well as an all-around champion. Winners in the boys division were: Age 7/8 - Devan Michels, pitch champion and all-around champion; Jaden Hamilton, hit champion and run champion; Age 9/10 - Isaiah Johnson, hit champion and all-around champion; Landen Foster, pitch champion and run champion; Age 11/12 - Anders Johnson, pitch champion, run champion and all-around champion; Kyle Ebach, hit champion. In the girls division winners were: Age 9/10 - Karsyn Hager, pitch, hit, run and all-around champion; Age 11/12 - Morgan Oppen, pitch, hit, run and all-around champion. All winners advanced to the sectional competition held May 22 in Wahpeton.

Donating the water was Pepsi of Bottineau and Pamida donated the baseball cards that were given to the participants. Also assisting the Jaycees were Curry Mund of the Rugby recreation program and Rugby High School.
