Rolette-Rolla sweeps Harvey

Comets end regular season on a high note

HARVEY - Rolette-Rolla finished off its regular season with a two-game road sweep over Harvey on May 18.

The Comets took game one 4-3 and then rallied to win game two 6-5.

In game one, Dillon Dionne and Nic Pfeifer each had two hits and pitcher Blake Nelson fanned nine Hornet batters. R-R scored twice in the fourth inning to take the lead for good.

In game two, Harvey erupted for five runs in the bottom of the first inning, taking advantage of three Comet errors. "I allowed the players to start at different positions, but after the errors, I moved them back to their normal positions,' said R-R coach Jesse Vote.

Jaden Pfeifer singled, stole three bases and scored a run. Jared Vandal also singled and drove in two runs in the 6-5 victory. Vandal started the game on the mound, but was relieved in the fourth inning by Pfeifer.
