Tribune Staff Report

Rugby senior Aaron Teigen isn't ready to hang up his hockey skates just yet for the season.

Teigen was recently named to Team North Dakota boys high school team which will compete this weekend (April 23-25) at the Minneapolis Showcase.

The tournament features all-star teams from the upper Midwest. Team N.D. is scheduled to play teams from Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan.

Aaron is the first player from the Rugby Amateur Hockey Association to be chosen to play on the team. Tryouts were held in Grand Forks earlier in the month and the team had a handful of practices before the tournament.

Teigen was the top scoring defenseman in the North Dakota Amateur Hockey Association's high school league this past season. He was also a first-team all-state selection. Teigen is just one of two from the NDAHA league to make the team. The 16 other players selected competed in high school hockey through the North Dakota High School Activities Association. Aaron is the son of John and Karen Teigen, Rugby.
