Catholic Daughters of America education contest winners announced

Several Little Flower Parish and area students received awards from the local Catholic Daughers of America for their entries in the education contest for art, essay, and poetry.

The themes this year were "The Joys of God Surround Us" and "The Joys Life Brings Through Others." First place winners in ther respective age divisions were:Jacob Blessum andJessica Blessum for essay, Ashely Schmaltz and Gabe Clements for art, Shawn Schaan for computer art, Devin Volk for photography, and Rebekah Wangler and Jacob Blessum for poetry.Other winners were: Ethan Clements, Seth Jaeger, Meranda Schmaltz, Lauren Kraft, Maria Mack, Matty Koenig,Jaqcue Blessum, and ReeAnn Christianson.The contest is open to youth in grades four through twelve, as well as Catholic Daughters. The first place winning entries advanced to the state level competition which will be judged in the spring.
