Just like that, Veterans Day came and went. Unfortunately, we’re conditioned by various media to start thinking about the next holiday, especially if it’s got strong commercial value....

Hugo was my Grandfather! He went by Buster all the years of my life. He was proud to be in the army and wore his poppy proudly every year. I have found memories of him talking about how proud he was of his family. There were lots of stories of Gordy and Chester his brothers. He retired in Chimacum, Washington. Is there a way to get a copy of the photograph that you have mentioned? I remember seeing it when I was a child. I would love to have a copy of it. I remember Anna was sitting in a chair with all the boys surrounding her. I don't think she smiled in that picture but she must have been proud.
