Kelly Barta, was a fulltime, stay-at-home mom of four sons who are now grown and gone from home. She has a bachelor's degree in Child Development and Family Science from NDSU, Fargo. She earned credits in mass communication from Minnesota State University, Moorhead. She has also earned credits towards a masters degree in library science from Valley CIty State University, Valley City. She brings over 20 years of newspaper experience to the job. The last 13 years were as editor of the Ransom County Gazette in Lisbon. Interests include: walking, reading, singing, white water rafting, traveling, hanging out with her sons, animals, etc.
